Course Summary
Passionate about working in airlines, travel agencies, cruise ships, or international resorts? The Travel and Tourism course gives you the chance to travel and see the world whilst you work.
You’ll gain valuable insight into customer service, marketing, destinations, and event management, all within the fast-paced travel and tourism sector.
Course Details
The classroom has a real aeroplane interior that you get to use to carry out full flight procedures, from serving from the trolley to the safety drill, equipped with all the gear that a usual demonstration would have. There’s also a travel agent’s desk so you can get a real feel for what it’s like to work in the travel and tourism business. You get to train as if you’re already in the job. The world really is your oyster.
Learners will tend to undertake their two weeks of experience in one of the following areas: hotels, restaurants, tourist attractions, travel agencies, customer service-based sectors or airports. Upon successful completion of Level 3 – Year 2, some learners may be offered the opportunity to undertake a one-year internship in Florida.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
When you do a vocational qualification you will learn in a workshop, salon or studio as appropriate for your subject and you will usually be assessed through practical assessments, projects, assignments and oral and written questions. There may be exams in some subjects and your tutor will prepare you for these.
Entry requirements
