Our Salon is open to the public, so you’ll have the chance to work with a wide range of clientele. At Level 3 you could study:
Health and safety practices – Ensure a safe working environment by understanding salon health and safety
Consultation support – Learn to provide professional advice and support to clients
Advanced styling and dressing – Refine your skills in creating intricate hairstyles for various occasions
Cutting and colouring hair – Enhance your techniques in advanced cutting and colouring methods, including colour corrections
Human resource management – Understand the basics of managing a team and operations
Hair extensions and additions – Learn to apply and style hair extensions and additions
Bridal hair styling – Specialise in creating elegant hairstyles for weddings and special events
Product promotion and sales – Develop skills to effectively promote and sell hair products and services
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment is through observation of practical skills carried out on paying customers in the salon environment. Learners also participate in written and oral questioning or online multiple-choice tests.
Entry requirements
Level 3 – 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths
