Course Summary
Information technology has taken root in our day-to-day lives and can be found everywhere, from desktops, laptops, and mobile phones through to automated machinery and even smart home devices like cameras and doorbells.
With digital skills in high demand across almost every sector, this course gives you a solid foundation in computing. It’ll open doors to a wide range of careers such as software development, network engineering, digital design, and IT support. Whether you see yourself as the next app creator, ethical hacker or web designer, this is your first step into an exciting and constantly evolving industry.
Course Details
At Levels 2 and 3 you will go on to learn valuable interpersonal skills, business and project management, object-oriented programming and app development, 3D modelling/motion graphics, database administration, cybersecurity and wide-area networking, along with other additional options available such as masterclasses.
You will also have the opportunity to take part in work experience. Trips and talks have included London Comic Con, and guest speakers from Ardman Animations, GCHQ, Sony and Microsoft our courses offer you a unique insight into the industry.
By the end of the course, you will have a portfolio of work to professional standards. This portfolio will show your knowledge on computing, and this can be used to take to interviews for either higher education or employment.

Entry requirements
Level 2 – 3 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, preferably including either English or Maths
