Course Details
The Health and Social Care department has four dedicated teaching rooms in the Elm building. You will have access to textbooks for the duration of the course which you are expected to use productively along with self-directed internet research to complete their assignments.
Our specialist Health and Social Care staff have a variety of different specialisms and this determines which units of the course they teach.
BTEC LEVEL 3 EXTENDED CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE
This course has four units and is delivered over two years. The four units include:
Human Lifespan Development (Exam)
Working in Health and Social Care (Exam)
Psychological Perspectives
Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Extended Certificate: 50% exams, 50 % coursework.
