Course Summary

Choosing to study BTEC Level 3 in Business is an excellent option for students who have a keen interest in understanding the world of business.

This two year course aims to prepare students with the knowledge they would need to work in any industry, create their own business or to further their education at university.

Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different enrichment opportunities such as; national entrepreneurship competitions, chances to visit regional companies to allow for application of knowledge as well as educational visits to prestigious universities to help support students academic progression.

Course Details

BTEC LEVEL 3 EXTENDED CERTIFICATE IN BUSINESS

YEAR 1:

UNIT 1: EXPLORING BUSINESS - This unit will allow you to study the purposes of a different businesses, their structure, the effort of the external environment, and how they need to be dynamic and innovative to survive.

UNIT 2: DEVELOPING A MARKETING CAMPAIGN - Within this unit, you will gain skills relating to, and an understanding of, how a marketing campaign is developed.

YEAR 2:

UNIT 3: PERSONAL AND BUSINESS FINANCE - Here, you will study the purpose and importance of personal and business finance. You will develop the skills and knowledge needed to understand, analyse and prepare financial information.

Unit 8: RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS* - Throughout this unit, you will explore how the recruitment process is carried out in a business. The unit gives you the opportunity to participate in selection interviews and review their performance.
