About us
ENL UTC (Engineering UTC Northern Lincolnshire), is one of 50 University Technical Colleges (UTCs) across the country, purpose-built to prepare young people for the world of work. The ENL UTC, delivers an innovative concept of education for 13-19 year olds that combines technical, practical and academic learning. By doing so, our students are able to gain much more than the traditional GCSE and A Level qualifications that enables them to get ahead of the competition by developing the ‘character’ to succeed in their chosen career path.
Student support
We are non-selective but we are not for everyone. Alongside of the traditional GCSE and A Level curriculum, our students have the unique opportunity to study challenging technical qualifications that provide them with the invaluable skills employers are looking for in their future workforce. From the age of 13 our students are in a mature environment developed specifically to prepare young individuals for a broad range of career opportunities.

Working alongside some of the regions leading employers, our hands-on curriculum provides exciting projects for our students to work on, alongside of masterclasses and on-site opportunities that allow them first-hand experience of the exciting career paths available. Nowhere else provides young individuals with the chance to develop invaluable skills from expert staff and through unique employer-led projects from the age of 13.

Transport
The Engineering UTC Northern Lincolnshire, is located on Carlton Street, in Scunthorpe town centre, providing us with excellent transport links. Whether you’re travelling by car, train or bus this page has all the information you need to get to the ENL UTC.
The ENL UTC has a dedicated car park onsite, located in front of the Visitors Reception. This can be accessed via Carlton Street, through our entrance which is clearly signposted.
In the event that our car park is full, please use the pay and display facilities which are located next door to the UTC building.
By train.
Scunthorpe train station is located on Station Road, a 12 minute walk away from the ENL UTC building. Scunthorpe has connections to two main stations, Cleethorpes and Doncaster. The stops to and from these destinations are as follows:
Doncaster > Kirk Sandall > Hatfield & Stainforth > Thorne South > Crowle > Althorpe > Scunthorpe
Cleethorpes > Grimsby Town > Barnetby Town > Scunthorpe
