Course Summary

Cambridge Technical (CTEC) courses available at Wyke: CTEC Introductory Diploma in IT (1x A Level Equivalent) and a Diploma in IT and Computing (2x A Level Equivalent.)

The Introductory Diploma in Information Technology is a great choice for students who are interested in learning about Information Technology and how it is applied in business. You will also have the opportunity to develop App and Web development skills.

The Diploma in Information Technology is a 2-year course combining technical academic content with advanced work-related computing skills. One of the main focuses of this course is software development including computer programming and web, mobile app and games development.

Course Details

The department uses a number of hi-tech IT suites equipped with the latest hardware and software, a practical lab for the assembly and configuration of computers and networks, and also makes use of interactive on-line resources to facilitate independent learning. Practical skills are an essential part of the course and our well equipped IT suites supported by experienced teachers and skilled technicians ensure opportunities are available to enhance learning and develop skills and confidence in this subject.
