Start your career in healthcare with our T Level in Supporting Healthcare and the Adult Nursing Team. This industry-led, two-year qualification equips you with both the core scientific foundations and real-world clinical skills needed to thrive in adult nursing support roles.

Whether you’re aiming to enter the workforce immediately or continue your studies, this T Level offers a clear pathway to roles such as healthcare assistant or nursing associate.

Course Details

This level 3 course will enable you to gain a broad understanding of working in Health or Social Care. You will develop skills, knowledge and understanding and have an opportunity to apply learning in a practical and realistic way. You will follow a programme of study that enables progression to both higher education and employment in health sectors and you will develop key skills that are highly valued by employers and universities.

You will learn about:

Working within the health and science sector, Health, safety and environmental regulations in the health and science sector, Managing information and data within the health and science sector, Good scientific and clinical practice, Providing person-centred care, Health and wellbeing, Infection prevention and control in health specific settings, Safeguarding, Science concepts.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

When you do a vocational qualification you will learn in a workshop, salon or studio as appropriate for your subject and you will usually be assessed through practical assessments, projects, assignments and oral and written questions. There may be exams in some subjects and your tutor will prepare you for these.

Learners will complete an employer set project which enables learners to link theory to practice with a total of approx. 14 hours which is assessed by the employerLearners will undertake 315 hrs (45 days) industry placement over the course of the two years in an appropriate setting.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements for our courses depend on the specific requirements of each Programme of Study and an individual’s previous experience, which will all be discussed during the interview process.
The following is a guide as to what you might be expected to achieve to gain entry on to a particular level of a course

T Level 3 – 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths

Your next steps...

Successful students may progress onto the next level in their chosen subject, into employment or an apprenticeship, or, after a level 3 qualification, to Higher Education at the University Centre Grimsby or other other University.
